You’re In!
We are looking forward to being with you on Feb. 22nd and 23rd from 8:00-4:00 MT for the Essential Skills Relational Bootcamp at the Aspen Meadows Resort.
Please fill out this form as soon as possible.
Andrea and I have been deeply impacted by the work of Terry Real, creator of the Bootcamp, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share the perspectives and practices we’ve learned. We all have a powerful role to play in bringing relational skill and full respect living to ourselves, our relationships, families, and communities.
Attached is a google folder with resources for our weekend together, including several of the skills we will be practicing during the workshop. If you’re able, please familiarize yourself with the materials included in the packet ahead of time. We will go over it in detail during our time together, so consider this an invitation to get comfortable with some of the material ahead of time, not a requirement.
How to Prepare for the Relationship Bootcamp: The Essentials Skills Workshop
This weekend is an opportunity to experience healing, within your own self, and within your relationship. We encourage you to look at this workshop like a retreat experience. Consider how you can prepare ahead of time to be fully present, setting aside anything that could be distracting or pull your attention away, so that you can offer yourself fully to the experience.
During the two days we’re together, we invite you to:
Take a hiatus from social media and internet scrolling
Alert family, friends, and colleagues, that you will be unavailable, outside of emergencies, on Saturday and Sunday
Limit social activities the evening between workshop days, you will be tired, we promise
Prepare your body to be comfortable, choose clothing that is relaxed and casual.
Dress in layers so that you can maintain a comfortable internal temperature.
Enjoy a healthy breakfast before the start of the workshop.
We will break for an hour for lunch. There will be several short comfort breaks throughout both days.
We, as hosts, are not allowed by the Meadows to provide outside snacks, so please bring whatever you may want as a snack for before or after lunch. Coffee, tea and soft drinks will be available all day.
We will send you the PowerPoint slide deck closer to the event, please print and bring it with you to make note taking more efficient.
There will be a homework assignment given at the end of the first day, expect it to take at least an hour. Please make this exercise a priority as it will greatly enhance your experience.
Lastly, if you are a coach or therapist attending this bootcamp, please prepare yourself to show up as a participant in the workshop, rather than as a professional. This is an opportunity for you to learn the work from
the inside out as a fellow traveler. The more you allow yourself to personally benefit from the experience, the better able you’ll be to share that learning with your clients.
Plan to arrive 10 minutes early to allow for an on time start. We will start promptly at 8:00 am both mornings.
Aspen is one of the most beautiful towns in the world. Sometimes weather issues make getting in and out a challenge. We suggest coming to town at least a full day or two before the event. It’s a great town to vacation in and enjoy a hike or ski day or walk around town.
We look forward to being with you all in person and journeying together through this transformative weekend. Feel free to email us with any questions.
Warmly,
Nancy and Andrea
